(1) when the pipeline is filled with medium, use a multimeter to measure the resistance value between terminal a, B and C. the resistance value between a-c and B-C should be large enough to be equal. If the difference is more than 1 times, it may be that the electrode has leakage, the outer wall of the measuring tube or the junction box has condensate adsorption.
(2) use a multimeter to measure the resistance between X and Y. if the resistance exceeds 200 Ω, the excitation coil and its lead-in wire may be open circuit or have poor contact. Remove the terminal board for inspection.
(3) check the insulation resistance between X, y and C, which should be above 200m Ω. If it drops, dry the inside of the shell with hot air. In actual operation, the decrease of coil insulation will lead to the increase of measurement error and the instability of instrument output signal.
(4) when the lining is dry, use M meter to measure the insulation resistance between a-c and B-C (should be greater than 200m Ω). Then measure the resistance with a multimeter connected with the electrode B. If the insulation resistance is very small, indicating electrode leakage, the whole set of flowmeter should be returned to the factory for maintenance. If the insulation is reduced, but there is still more than 50m Ω, and the inspection result in step (1) is normal, it may be that the outer wall of the measuring tube is damp, and the inner part of the shell can be dried with a hot air blower.
(5) if it is determined that the sensor is faulty, please contact the manufacturer of electromagnetic flowmeter. Generally, the problem cannot be solved on site, and it needs to be repaired by the manufacturer.
