6. The flow regulating valve or pressure regulating valve shall be installed at a distance of 5D downstream of the flowmeter as far as possible. 1. Problem: since the temperature and humidity of coke oven gas are high when leaving the factory, there will be moisture in the gas transmission process. The gas flow drives the water to fluctuate back and forth, thus forming a pulsating flow. When the vortex flow sensor is in this fluid state, the output data is large or small, which can not reflect the production status.

Solution: regularly drain the pipeline, especially the water in front of the straight pipe section. According to the specific situation, special personnel shall be set to discharge regularly, so as to reduce the moisture in the metering pipe section as much as possible, and eliminate the pulsation in the fluid to the maximum extent.

2. Problem: vortex flowmeter is not suitable to be installed in strong vibration situation, which is well known by users. However, when magnetic field changes frequently, vortex flow sensor will measure signal output higher than normal value. Practice has proved that in the field without gas flow, when the vortex flow sensor is in the changing magnetic field, the vortex flowmeter sensor will sense an error signal and output at the moment of magnetic field change. When the change is over and the instrument is in a stable magnetic field, the instrument will output a normal signal.

Solution: in the process of instrument installation and connection, it is necessary to ensure the accuracy of each link, including the site inspection before installation, instrument wiring during installation, system grounding wire, etc., so as to ensure the detection of real data and accurate output.

3. Problem: the pressure line is not solid in the process of instrument wiring, resulting in intermittent signal transmission.

Solution: for the measurement system in operation, the method of "comparative confirmation" and "alternative method" can be used to confirm and eliminate the faults of metering instruments in operation.

4. Problem: the coke oven gas has many impurities, easy to crystallize, and the impurities condense on the sensor head, resulting in inaccurate measurement. With the increase of temperature, the impurities volatilize, the sensitivity increases and the signal increases; on the contrary, it decreases. As a result, the data is unstable.

Solution: clean the instrument as a whole regularly. If necessary, purge the sensing head of the instrument to avoid the condensation of impurities at the sensing head. In the cold season, adding heat tracing device in the metering straight pipe section and instrument part is also beneficial to alleviate the condensation of impurities at the metering instrument.
