When the heavy oil mass flowmeter works normally, the Coriolis force is produced by the vibration of the measuring tube. The greater the Coriolis force is, the greater the friction between the flow medium and the wall of the measuring tube, and the greater the pressure loss of the flowmeter.
The heavy oil mass flowmeter is mainly used to measure the mass flow of heavy oil or the volume flow of output calculation. The selection parameters provided by the process specialty only involve the medium mass flow or volume flow; therefore, the influence of medium flow rate will be ignored. The amplitude of the measuring tube of Coriolis mass flowmeter is small, which can be regarded as no moving part and no obstruction part. The measured value is not affected by the flow field in the pipeline.
